Description
Berberine Hydrochloride is a yellow crystalline powder, odorless, very bitter taste. It is soluble in boiling water, difficult to dissolve in cold water, insoluble in ethanol, ether and chloroform.
Application
Berberine Hydrochloride has inhibitory effects on Shigella, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Salmonella typhi and Amoeba. Clinically, it is mainly used for intestinal infections and bacillary dysentery.
